Director

The motto of Cochin University of Science and Technology states तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु (tejasvi navadhitamastu), a proclamation in Sanskrit, which means 'May learning illuminate us.' The vision of the School of Industrial Fisheries carries the broad theme which is ignited from the motto of our university and its focus on quality education in all facets of fisheries to mold socially responsible global citizens to achieve sustainability goals.

Aligning with the school's vision, since its inception in 1976, we have distinguished our school by its excellent academic programmes, research, entrepreneurship, and contributions to the public at large. We are proud and happy to state that our alumni are making significant contributions across various fisheries sectors. Many are holding significant positions in the seafood and aquaculture industry around the globe.

Our faculty are outstanding in multi-disciplinary areas in fisheries. Minimum required qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) / B.F.Sc (Nautical Science) /Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries include Aquaculture /Industrial Fish and Fisheries/ Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology/Botany/Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Marine Biology with at least 55% marks in the optional subjects. Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology / Food Science includes B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology / Food Science and Management / Food Science / Food Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Science and Quality Control with at least 55% marks.
